From 18.00 till late, open air to catch the last bit of summer, serious vibes and drinks....I highly suggest to come early to hear the dub tones of dj Space Viz and the soul set of Federico Grasso: Unmissable!!!
This friday we celebrate the opening of Elefante Rosso in Mestre, Venice. This club created by Ra.h [of Morphine, Sistrum, MOS] fame is a great laboratory for live musicians and djs and definetly something unique in Italy. Paul Randolph will be the very special guest and he'll be performing some songs from his vast catalogue and then jammin with bad boy drummer Tommaso Cappellato [watch out for his future colabs with MdcL] and myself [on the one and twos]. We already had the pleasure to see him at Boca few years back and was a real memorable night!

Last saturday I had again the chance to hear Li Louis playing. He killed it with a mix of Glenn Undergrounds, Osunlades, Spinnas and especially his own tracks and disco edits. What really made it for me was that he programmed in his set a lot of the songs from his last album ['two sides of every story'] wich are really sophisticated and soulful. I have great memories from our Phlash and Friends party in Miami when both me and Phil were playing some of those songs...we are great fans of Lil Louis since day one!!!
Can't suggest a better album in 2009!
A new ep on Vega records from Fabio Genito is about to drop...as always he delivers quality house music with a real personal twist! We learned to love Fabio's music in the last couple of years and I think he rapresents italian house music properly!
I suggest to all the djs to investigate more in his catalogue, especially the 'Frozen Cream' track off the Limoncello ep is a real classic! www.traxsource.com
D3K day 2 report: our heroes get ready for the ride, waiting to enter the boat [no we didnt play Gerald Mitchell 'Out tha Boat' but we should have], we have a dutch captain, Trus'me in the sky directing the whole thing, Hendrix after few glasses of 'water', Massi Viz and the dutch flowers, Reincarnation duo at the controls, the crowd seems to dig it, back on the ground [in every sense], end of a great weekend....look forward to the next D3K in 2010!!!
D3K day 1 report: 630 km to destination, 'soul baby soul' listening session in the car, view from the window while approachin Zadar, sunset in Petrcane, the dope 70s looking club where we heard the Delopment guys beating it up and Keith & Patrice going deep with some proper house music, me Viz and Tom Development planning more Verona-Manchester connections, space-Viz!!!
We are getting closer to the mother of all GARAGE PARADISE parties, the 19th september Party Forte at Forte San Mattia, an old austrian fortification from 1843 on the hills of Verona. The view of the whole city, the perfect balance between the wild nature of the hill and the old architecture and the music from all GP resident djs should make this appointment very special...

Last saturday we did our annual gig at the Radio Onda D'urto's Tenda Blu! Me and Paolo LDSQ had few hours of real fun playing house and some techier things with a great sound system! Pirahnahead's 'Mirror Muse' never sounded so good! Thanx for the invite Enio!
