Last saturday we entered a magical and far out world at our special 'Space Is The Place' party. A mix of folk, rock, space disco, afro house and all things trippy thrown in the pot, and a venue that was perfectly dark and mystical. Thanx to Luca and Andrea from Slam Jam for the collaboration and to all the Verona crew that made it possible [Vitz, Paolo Pinte, Max, Paolo Ldsq, Dixan....]
The yearly wine exhibition Vinitaly has just finished and its time to recover. Verona has been flooded with something like 150.000 visitors and the city looked really exciting with loads of happenings all across the centre town. One of those, Winecity, is definetly the one go. Geared towards quality music to listen in historical spaces with a good glass wine, this event has been growing through the years and is now really happening. I had a great time playing a vinyl only jazz set there and also listening to the sets of Vitz and Roots soundsystem the other nights.
For those in Verona and surroundings: stop press, Roots will be back soon [1st of May] and will become AGAIN the spot to go for dancing on a regular basis! Henry and Patrick have been gearing up at winecity and are ready to play their mixture of powerful house and breaks mixed with the cream of soulful shit, while Ste' and 'ILL Presidente' will be providing the organisation with the rest of the crew!
