So my homegirl Julie is making some moves with her jewelry line, Crunchy Jewels. Besides being one of the flyest librarians on the block, she finds time to construct these lovely one-of-a-kind pieces-- necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Most of the current pieces are made for (and inspired by women), but they are fairly unisex by nature, so look out for some men's stuff soon. (I think there's a bracelet named after the inimitable Jay Lew.)

She's working on a distribution deal in Japan with Des Pres, and you can find them in select NYC area shops like Brooklyn's Stuart & Wright.
