Wong Kar Wai at Opening Ceremony in celebration of his new film My Blueberry Nights, which features a Western cast including Norah Jones and Jude Law. Meet the man and get one of t-shirts featuring photography from the movie.

It was great to reconnect with Roland Appel this week. He's got his first solo LP on the way via Sonar Kollektiv. Deep, dark and techy. In a really good way.
Here are a few flicks courtesy of Giant Step photographer Phillip Angert.

Jay Lewis reports back from last months My Favorite Things session.

I finally got to connect with Sam and Miguel from Ghostly International. In my opinion, one of the freshest labels around these days. They are the home of several great new artists like Dabrye and Matthew Dear.
You may have also seen the USB they release with MOSS.

Work In Progress updates with new work, including the new issue of Self Service, my favorite.

Loving the Spring 2008 line from Common Projects. Especially these perforated leather joints. Unfortunately my man Miguel beat me to the punch so I'm can't rock them until next season.

Giant Step has been doing a nice after-work party twice a month at the fancy Hudson Hotel in Midtown. I was pleasantly surprised by the great turnout and energy the last time I went. People really seem to let off after work on a Monday.
I'll be playing at the next one on Monday, March 24th along with Roland Appel (from Truby Trio and Fauna Flash). Roland has been making some of my favorite tracks of late, so this is cool to be paired with him.
Entry is free, you just have to RSVP.

Interesting article on 80's furniture design in this weeks T Magazine.

PT3 returns this Friday the 14th at the Powerhouse Arena in DUMBO, beginning at 7pm. It's going to be a lot fun, and is open to all. More info.

Continuing our collaboration with Staple, we've printed another limited run of the popular 'rude' t-shirt as part of their Spring 08 collection. Visit SoldOut from Colette to get your hands on one. Help us sell em out!
Big up to Freshness as well for the love.
Some great new music, and few old bits, to share this month.
Check the cinematics from London's Aaron Jerome, and the remix from recent ATL-transplant Daz-I-Kue.
More deepness from Peter Kruder, and Germany's Soulphiction, plus new album cuts from Erykah Badu and Reel People. Finally check the great edit from my man Nox (Garage Paradise crew, Milano).

I got to check out the new offices of the NY Times, designed by Renzo Piano, this week.
My good friend from high school Andrew took us on an impromptu lunch-tour.

An amazing LCD installation stands alone in the sparsely decorated ground floor.

Did you know about the large print weekly?

Down south folks... I'll be in Atlanta for 2 dates with Meshell Ndegeocello this coming Friday March 7 & Saturday March 8 at the Apache Cafe (formerly Yin Yang).

I've spent the last couple of months working with a great group of people on the new Jaguar stuff.
Big up to Hal & Alicia, Donjiro and the crew.

Tomorrow's a big day.
Its amazing to see the movement that's built around the Obama movement.
There's so much creativity surrounding this year's presidential election. I'm sure you all saw the Will-I-Am video that's been going around, but for something a little different, check 'Obama 2008' by Fire Magic Blood -- aka Taz Arnold, Shafiq Hussein and Daedelus. Check Taz's Myspace for the extended version.

I can't front. The emergence of the Ed Banger crew is pretty wild. From label to lifestyle, they have successfully branded their style of music, art, design and attitude. I'm not always into everything they are doing creatively, but I give them mad respect for they way they've packaged it consistently.
Check this new video for Justice from their resident type-guru So-Me.

I finally got my copy of A Nice Set.
This is a project that has been in the works for a while. Spearheaded by my friends at Plus Et Plus, they teamed up with the reed space and idN Magazine to create a book and travelling art show of artful slipmats (33 1/3 to be exact). The project celebrates the marriage of music and design, which in certainly in a confused state these days. Great artists like Marc Atlan, Genevieve Gaukler, Swifty, Gerry & Maceo Villareal, Ben Loiz, Hort, Mare139, and Ian Wright took part. The book also features interviews with DJs like Bobbito, Danny Krivit, Tim Sweeney, Toshio Matsuura, Strictly Kev and even me.
