One of my favorite image-makers, Solve Sundsbo, has an exhibition at the mini-Colette in Paris right now.
Watching the Democratic National Convention last night, Spike Lee was showing off this great t-shirt of Obama Dunking on McCain. Similar to the recent and controversial Nike ads.
A couple of months ago, I posted some cryptic images from a project my buddy Ian was working on...
Well, with the release right around the corner now, I can finally zoom out and show the amazing collage that will be the cover of T.I.'s new album 'Paper Trail'.
I think it came out really well, and respect to the label for not littering it up with too much type. (I'm told the final version might be illustration-only). I hope to see this plastered all over the streets of NYC soon.
Once again, respect to the man Mr. Wright.
More goodness from the Raf Simons x Eastpak collaboration.

OAK has some nice things in, especially some new pieces from the Raf by Raf Simons collection.
As reports came in this week of magazine circulation being halved this year, the editorial team of Fabien Baron and Glenn O'Brien prepare the official launch of the new Interview Magazine for September. Hoping to counter the disposable nature of culture these days, the redesign will focus on the details like the paper stock, printing and photography. As Baron puts it, "Quality needs to be put into magazines today, otherwise there will be no reason for magazines to exist."
I think it's safe to say that China succeeded in making a serious impression with the opening ceremony for this year's Olympic Games. Here are some great photos courtesy of Getty Images photographers. Loving all the patterns that emerge.
Nom de Guerre's new season promises more strong typogrpahic shirts.
My Favorite Things returns next Tuesday, August 19 at the Apartment, taking over both floors as we're known to do. I'm very excited to welcome one of Detroit's best kept secrets, a man by the name of DJ DEZ aka ANDRES.
What's up with the two names you might ask? Well, our man has a deep resume DJ'ing for the likes of Slum Village and producing hip-hop tracks (check the new Elzhi LP) as DJ DEZ. But he's also been known to make more dancefloor type stuff for Moodymann's label Mahogani Music under the guise Andres. In other words, the best of both worlds. Everyone I know from Detroit has told me numerous times that this is the guy we've been missing at our nights.
Upstairs, we're rejoined by the duo of Jeff Staple and Unkle Chip from the Elite Camp. They always hold it down.
And I can't forget the birthday of our newest team member, Leroy Burgess.
It's going to be a big night. RSVP for $5 entry.
You know the deal... check the new selection for August.

It turns out that the Colette guerilla shop that's opening in NYC next month has been commissioned by GAP. A range of exclusive products will drop, including t-shirt collaborations such Andre x Neckface. GAP has also been doing some interesting things with Pierre Hardy recently.
So I came across this pretty in-your-face video that Nick Night has recently done with Naomi Campbell. What's really, interesting however, is the forum commentary to follow... Nick even weighs in.
Coincidental (or not) timing, with the frenzy over this months Vogue Italia's "Black Is Beautiful" issue. Apparently its sold out everywhere and fetching a good price already.
So whats up with that?
