My mom tipped me off to this great article about Mr. Baron in this weekends Times.
Been on the road, so a bit slow on the blog front. But in case you missed it, grab this month's MFT radio show for Shibuya FM. New one to come soon...
Rostarr kicks of the new gallery space Oh Wow (the latest project from A-Ron) in Miami, with his 'Wreckless Abandon' show. Always looking tuff.
Michael Moore offers his latest film, Slacker Uprising, as a free download.
If you are in Tokyo, be sure to check the Minotaur Shop at Parco for a limited time only!
Here are a couple of images from Mode's recent trip to Prague, in anticipation of the Outsiders show on Thursday night in NYC. Also, keep keep your eyes peeled on the corner of Canal and Greene.
I've been a fan of Bill Cunningham for a while. His weekly observations on style are always interesting, especially his audio slideshows. This week, he declared lanky to be the new trend.
We'll be in LA next week as we bring PT3 to the west coast. There's a great line-up of teams from Union, Flaunt, Dior Homme, Directors Bureau, KCRW, Opening Ceremony, MoCA, Stones Throw, Swindle and more. If you are in the area, stop by the Microsoft Zune space next Saturday, September 27 and check it out.
I wish I could be in Antwerp for this retrospective on Maison Martin Margiela at the Modemuseum Provincie Antwerpen. More images via A Shaded View.

Fabien Baron releases 'Liquid Light', a personal project spanning two decades. Out now via SteidlDangin. More info over at Bill's blog.
As promised earlier, here's the video of Ian creating his latest project - "5,054 Lashes" - for Givenchy. Credit the nice film work to Natasha Subramaniam & Marcel Wepper.
Speaking of Zevs, my buddy Mode 2 will be in town next week for this group show featuring a host of LAZ.Inc artists.
After gaining notoriety through his "visual kidnapping" pieces and shadow outlines, French street artist ZEVS makes noise with his 'liquidated logos".
The boys from Berlin are back.
Jazzanova return with their first single 'Let Me Show Ya' featuring Paul Randolph (check this months radio) off their second full length 'Of All The Things." The album, due in late October, also features guests Leon Ware, Dwele, Jose James, Phonte, Azymuth and more.
Look out for the killer Henrik Schwarz mix of the first single floating around, and check a little video of the recording session here.
It was only a matter of time before someone came with this idea-- consolidating some of the similar style/fashion magazines from around the world. Apparently it was Tom Dixon. In the premier issue of Distill, based in London, content is pulled from magazine likes V, Man About Town, WAD, Acne Paper and Numero.
Fashion week has been buzzing here in NYC. Last night, we were lucky enough to check out the Givenchy party at the Christopher Henry Gallery. Ian Wright was the main attraction, having been commissioned to create an oversized 7" record out of their new Phenomen'eyes brushes. The entire process, which took about two weeks and 5,000 brushes, was brilliantly filmed and projected into the space, along with actual piece (better pictures to come).
It was great to see the high fashion world embracing our man of many talents. Big shouts to Suphala, Riko, JR and the Chandelier crew, "punk professor" Vivien Goldman, Horacio and gold-medalist Ryan Lochte in the house. I'll post a link to the video as soon as it goes online.
One of my favorite sites, HF's Honeyee, has just relaunched with a whole new look and feel. Also, loads of new features and a new 100 day blog relay featuring guest bloggers like Jose Parla, Carri Munden and the return of Hiroshi.

Another fun night at the APT. Big thanks to DJ Dez for coming through, as well as Jeff and Chip who rocked the upstairs, seriously. Here's some shots courtesy Jay Lew on the point & shoot.
Lots of love going out to my good friend Natalie and Khairi, who finally got married after years of talking a big game. It was worth the wait though, and we all gathered on an amazing NYC rooftop to celebrate in style.
I had a great night splitting my time between DJ'ing (this is our United Future Organization look) and catering. Shouts to Jay and Dustin for the flicks, and once again, congrats to the newlyweds!
I'm always feeling the great infographics in the NY Times. However, I'm not feeling the Republicans at all, no matter how many times they mention 'change'. Don't believe the hype.
When my friends Robi Bear & Leanne Wright aren't running Wadada, they are making fun art. The original "champions of naivate".

I'm excited about the forthcoming album from Illa J, the younger brother of Dilla. Apparently Delicious Vinyl has a gang of old Jay Dee beats from the Pharcyde Labcabbin' days that have been on ice for years now. Check it out and download the first single free.
