Kim Jones unveiled his first collection for Dunhill this week at Paris Fashion Week. Looks like Kanye was digging it... I'm excited to see what he'll do with this great brand.

There are not too many new typeface releases that I will stand behind.
But I'm always impressed by designer Mike Abbink's work. He sent me a preview of his new face, Milo Serif, a companion to Milo Sans, which was released by Font Shop in 2006.
I'm sad that I didn't get to escape down to Washington DC this week for the Inauguration.

Colette has relaunched their site complete with a new e-shop, gallery and blog section. They are also currently running this exhibition of fantasy concert posters, imagined by a selection of artists.
"The Six Scents Initiative is an ongoing collaboration between Symrise, Metaproject and Seven New York. Annually, a distinct group of six prominent artists and perfumers are selected to develop a limited edition series of fragrances to help raise money for charity. The collection represents a worldwide spectrum of contemporary perspectives on creativity, culture, consciousness and collectivity."

I stumbled across a new book this week called Illustration Play. I was drawn to the cover which had one of Ian Wright's projects from last year on the cover -- a portrait of designer/beathead Trevor Jackson. When I opened it up to see the spread on Ian's work, I was surprised to find a funny photo of me holding the piece.
My friend Ebon Heath has launched a portfolio site featuring his wonderful typographic mobiles that I posted a few months back, as well as a large body of design work dating back to the early days of Triple 5 Soul and hip hop mag Stress. Check it.

I'm starting the new year right by joining forces with the folks at exposure new york. We'll be working a diverse array of clients like Microsoft, Casio G-Shock, Sony Playstation, and Nike. It's going to be an exciting year. Respect to Tom and DMC for making it happen.
Let's start the new year off right, with a super-extended mix this month. So much good stuff to share, I had to add 4 or 5 tracks on to the radio version. (If you want the 58min vocal mix, you can check it here.) We're keeping it quite deep and soulful this month.
Kaidi Tatham's record still proves to be one of the top albums around right now. Also loving the hard-to-find LP from Paris' Dan Electro, taking cues from Moodymann-- who's sounding good on his new EP. That Bennson track is a future-classic... I can't wait to play it in the club. Finally, shouts to Kez YM, who laced me with one of the best CDR's of my Tokyo trip. Check it out.
