I wanted to congratulate my friend Eddie Huang on the opening of his first restaurant in NYC called Baohaus. A former lawyer, Eddie has also dabbled in stand-up comedy and running his own clothing line-- and he's only like 25.
Baohaus specialized in Taiwanese Gua Bao sandwiches -- skirt steak, pork belly and tofu -- and they are pretty damn good. They are also one of the only places in NYC to carry boiled peanuts, an appetizer that any true Southerner knows and loves.
Swing through 137 Rivington Street in the LES or check Eddie's blog The Pop Chef. They also do free delivery in the area.
